No more igloos!

Before I tell you about the igloos, I need to tell you something Very Important. My brother forgot to say it when he made his post about grass, and Batman was going to tell you but I got here first!

Our new - used - lawn tractorIt is Very Important to make sure that the grass you give your guinea pigs is safe for them to eat! If it is mowed, it should not be with a gas mower or an electric mower, because those mowers can get oil on the grass. Oil is not good for piggies to eat! If you have a lawn tractor, that is okay. Here is a pigture of That One’s man riding his lawn tractor. It is very loud!

Also, if you are giving your piggies mowed grass, you need to pick it up off the ground right after it is cut. Otherwise it might start to go moldy, especially if it is wet.

The very best way to get grass for your guinea pigs is to hand-pick it. That One has a box that she takes outside with her. She fills it with grass that she picks herself, and then she brings it all in and gives us fresh grass.

You should also make sure that the grass you give your piggies is not close to a busy road, because the fumes from all those cars driving past can get into the grass. And don’t use fertilizer on your grass, either! That is very bad for guinea pigs and can poison them.

Okay, now I can talk about the igloos. Well, actually, I will first show you the video That One made. She can explain it better.

Now I will tell you the pigtures she took after making the video.

First there is a pigture of Bubble in his new cavy cave. It has dinosaurs in it. He really likes his cave and he told me it is very comfy.

Bubble is enamoured with his new cavy cave!

And then a pigture of me trying to figure out what the cave is for. I wasn’t sure about it at first. I don’t know what that animal is doing on it, either.

Squeak doesn't quite know what to make of the soccer monkeys...

That One tricked Batman into going inside his cave. She put a treat inside it. He went in to get it!

Batman finally went inside his Bat-Cave after I put in a strawberry treat!

He moved around inside it a lot, and then all of a sudden he was calling for help because he couldn’t find the door!

Oops, it tipped over!

I couldn’t get to him or I would have tried to help. But we are not in the same cage. Luckily, Batman did get out of his cave eventually!

Get me out of here!

Later That One came back and took a pigture of Batman in his cage. He had tried to climb on top of his cave, and it was flat!

The Bat-Cave is a little flattened...

It’s a good thing I am so smart. I got inside my cave and I use it all the time. I really like hiding in there now. It’s way more comfy than my igloo was!

Squeak figured out how to get inside his cave!

And Bubble loves his cave, too. I am glad he likes it. His cave is way smaller than his igloo was, so it’s good That One got us these caves to hang out in.

Bubble loves his cave.

That One says there is another surprise for us coming in a few days. I can’t wait to see what it is – I hope it’s as good as the caves!

Wow, writing long posts is very tiring. I will go now and take a nap.
